Green eyed

In a world that’s gradually becoming more visual with the aid of popular social media sites like Instagram and the likes, there has never existed such a great opportunity to keep abreast of the lives and lifestyles of others. Longing quickly leads to discontent and consequently envy when you realize that you can’t become the other person. How to overcome cyber Jealousy

1) Pray for them-nip the thoughts as soon as it buds by sincerely praying for them. As I mentioned in a similar post by Seun olagunju on her blog, praying for the success of the other person is a way of showing the devil, I see this other person’s success and I choose to be happy for him/her not dwelling on how this could have/should have been me

2)Appreciate them-speak the good you see. If you admire someone say it and go your way

3)Don’t linger-stop cyber stalking the other person’s life

4) Oh be careful little eyes what you see…

Filter what you see, I had to stop watching reality TV shows and following some people especially celebrities on Instagram, because constantly putting  yourself in a position where you’ll be tempted to compare yourself will only hurt you in the long run. For example I had to uncollected Bella Naija because of the constant wedding parade. I am in a season in my life where everyone is trying get me hitched and the last thing I need is to linger on another pre-wedding photo shoot that may cause Jealousy and arouse envy.
5) Count your blessings…

Comparison makes us unappreciative of our successes. So count your blessings and celebrate the strides you’ve made towards achieving your own goals. You may not be where you want to but you’re definitely not where you were. Realize how much you have now. Pastor Steven Furtick once said a lot of us have more to work with than we’re currently using… And that’s absolutely true. Look around, see what you have and how you can work with it.

6) Work to achieve your dreams- Nothing stops envy in its track than a person who is too busy working on their own garden to peer over the fence at another person’s own. When you’re working to achieve you
